The model and loose Women star hit the singer in 1999. Eight years later, the couple tied the knot and they have been married for more than 15 years.
When Lancaster spoke to the saga magazine, she admitted that romance was the last thing they came to mind in their life when Stewart first appeared in her life.
“I was not a fan. And I definitely didn’t think of a relationship because I came out of a long -term that was not easy,” she said. “Rod was a unknown unit.”
The couple’s 26-year-old age gap has long attracted attention. Stewart turned 80 in January, while the 54 -year -old Lancaster just reached the same age that her husband was when they started to meet.
Lancaster and Stewart are not alone over the decades to navigate love – many other prominent couples have an age difference of 20 years or more.
